He was once known as Aiden Reed. A Hyur Babe found near the Everschade Guardian Tree of the Central Shroud. He was found by the order of the Twin Adder soldiers all by himself. They were escorting a wealthy couple who were on their way from Ishgard to New Gridania. It so happened they wanted to visit the Guardian tree.It puzzled the order of the Twin Adder why a random male Hyur babe would be by all itself. Jeinette and Theodon Gorgeport immediately felt a bond with the baby. Though he was surrounded by what they thought was a peculiar purple aether. Being they could not make a child of their own, they desired to bring their new child to their home in New Gridania.

𝓤𝓹𝓫𝓻𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓲𝓷𝓰

Loki‘s origin was always a mystery to himself. Why did he not share the same surname as his parents? Why does a peculiar essence appear before him? At times taunting him, causing issues. No matter what he did, he was often finding himself in trouble. Known as the “The Black Sheep of Gridania”, others often scowled at him for even existing. In his teenage years, he often could not find himself belonging nor fitting in. He was often wroth with anger.At the ripe age of 16, there was an incident where his essence guided him to a dark tomb housed by the Conjurers. When he opened and read the book, he read out loud distinct words in language unknown to himself, which opened a portal to the void and spilled out void creatures. The citizenry panicked as the City was attacked. Meanwhile, the essence cloaked him to keep him safe from the nearby creatures. He watched in horror as people were slaughtered.Once the Order of the Twin Adder dispatched the creatures, they launched an investigation. They eventually found out the culprit was Aiden Reed, and they promptly banished him from the city, bidding him to never return.

𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓪𝓭𝓿𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓮 𝓫𝓮𝓰𝓲𝓷𝓼

During his adolescence, he was taught by his adoptive father the way of the lance, proving himself to be an astute student. He journeyed across the nations, attempting to make a living for himself as a young mercenary. He took on a job from Bentbranch Meadows, searching for a large Morbol. His essence nearly saved him, but he was no match for it. “Hear…. Feel….. Think….” Hearing those words, aether surged and mixed with his essence, causing glitter and glow to intertwine, and made it look like galaxies mixed together. He found the power to destroy the problematic Morbol that was a nuisance to the townspeople. Dangerously wounded, he was rushed to the Conjurers Guild to return him to health.
Disputes regarding his return arose. People were wrothful. Mother Miounne, friends with his adoptive parents, saw potential in him. She convinced him to join the adventurers guild, which led to the beginning of his journey as a warrior of light. A tale told by the wonders of Eorzea itself.

𝓢𝓮𝓮𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓪𝓷𝓼𝔀𝓮𝓻

Loki often wondered about his existence, his magic, his power, and his origins. After the events of the final days. He searched for answers in Elpis, hoping to find evidence of his origins. He found an ancient, known as Hermod, who often spoke of a star he researched known as Jotunheimr.This particularly piqued his interest because his essence burst forth at the mentioning of it. It guided both himself and the ancient to a forbidden scroll that was forbidden to read. Luckily Hermod had administrative access and helped Loki gain access to the scroll.He couldn’t understand the cryptic runes of writing. But the essence reached out and gave him the knowledge to help him understand what was written. “Ragnorak”, “Valhalla”, “The Jotunn”, and “The Aesir”. Nothing made sense until he found the word “Loki”. The essence resonated within him… and it gave him the feeling to visit Ultima Thule.

𝓞𝓻𝓲𝓰𝓲𝓷 𝓯𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓭 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓪𝓬𝓬𝓮𝓹𝓽𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓮

During his exploration of the ruins of Ultima Thule. Loki spoke to one of the Dragons that hinted him of a ruin that spoke of “Giants”. He found the ruins littered with runes, writings of unknown origins. He found buried stairs beneath. His essence leaped forward and smothered the debris, crushing it. Making way to its depths. He found a place of wonder, ancient, dark and cryptic. In his exploration, the essence guided him to a chamber.As he walked in, he was mesmerized by the wonder of it all. The room was untouched…yet cold. He saw what looked like the remains of two ancient bodies. One was holding a bowl over his head. The other chained up to an imposing boulder. He saw runes before them.The essence leaped out before him, and formed up as a Simulacrum. It began speaking. “Here lies Loki and Sigyn. Your parents per se, but not by blood. Look over there!” Loki looks to see a large vessel, easily large enough to carry a humanoid. The simulacrum speaks once more.“You were once a babe, killed by the cataclysm of Ragnarok that ruined the star itself. Loki, with his last wishes, along with Sigyn’s help, preserved his life essence and gave it to the newborn. He then sent it through a portal of unknown origin. You are Jotunn but you took the form of your surroundings of a humanoid of the star known as Etheirys. You were always Giant.”It spoke once more. “Accept your existence. You are neither God nor mortal. You have been given a gift. A life. Step forth and I will relinquish almost all my power to you. Step forth not as Aiden Reed. But as Loki. Take pride in being a Jotunn. Accept the life, the wonders of a shapeshifter, the life of a trickster.”Loki steps forth and says, “I will take the title, but to honor my comrades in one of my darkest tales, I will be known as Loki Blackthorne. For I am a “Black Sheep of Gridania” and the “Thorn in the Side” yet saviour of the people.From that day forward, he took on a new form that is unparalleled by any other. He was reborn as the Trickster of Eorzea.

Loki’s Essence is a very special RP tool that can enhance the experience of the time spent with him. It will be a package available for request by clientele. By requesting this package, you are consenting to the effects it will have on your character, and the RP/ERP that is to be involved. How it will be used is determined by the provider, not the client themselves. Thus it will be explained in further detail on what it does.

𝓦𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓭𝓸𝓮𝓼 𝓲𝓽 𝓭𝓸?

Loki’s essence is tangible, sentient, and can take a life of its own. Almost like the shadow of Peter Pan, it causes a lot of mischief. Loki does have control of it…. mostly. The essence is in sync with Loki’s senses, emotions, and thoughts. In other words, Loki can feel what it feels as well vice versa. Generally leaking out as miasma, it can turn or come out in various forms. It can forcefully bring out emotions or effects on their client. Not limited to, but often a state of arousal, awe (similar in reverence to a God), joy, and happiness. Here are other things but not limited to it can do or become:- It can morph.- It can become a simulacrum of a chosen form.- It can become an object or tool.- It can bind or shift into tendrils.- It can mold with a substance or change it into another property.- It can create an area or a dimension of certain properties.- Etc., etc.

𝓦𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓭𝓸𝓮𝓼 𝓲𝓽 𝓵𝓸𝓸𝓴 𝓵𝓲𝓴𝓮?

It is dark and shadowy, bright purple hues with golden glitter mixed in like stars. It has a lensing effect that is akin to the event horizon of a black hole. Looking into it, it is often compared to swirling galaxies.

𝓓𝓲𝓼𝓬𝓵𝓪𝓲𝓶𝓮𝓻

If the Package is requested and purchased, the client understands that the essence can at times control their OC in RP text. They consent to this, trusting in the provider. A safeword MUST be issued by the client, so that if at any point during the RP/ERP session, the object creates discomfort, it will be halted and the provider will discuss and ensure the client’s safety/comfort. The client may continue or dismiss the object, however the gil paid will NOT be refunded. Any questions or concerns regarding Loki’s Essence should be brought up to the provider.
